"October at the Theatre"

October at the Theatre is an event in which the kids, teens, and adults present the sign language dramas that they have been practicing during the summer. This program is open to the public. As the name states, this event usually occurs during the middle of October. The dramas include those young people that have been in the King's Army at least one year. There are also presentations done by beginning ASL students. We have at least two of our advanced students M.C. the event. The whole night is presented in English and American Sign Language.

Here are some pictures from various "October at the Theatre" events.

"Our Spring Thing"

"Our Spring Thing" is the "King's Army" end of the year event held in May. All the children's and youth classes perform skits depicting some of the things they have learned throughout the year. At this time, certificates and trophies are given to the kids for various achievements throughout the year. This is an opportunity to tell the "King's Army" that they really are "super-duper".

In years past, we offered our standard yard sale along with songs, celebration, and the like in ASL and English while you shop. Please come out and show your support for HANDPRINTS in this unique manner. Our yard sales are usually in the month of May or June.

HANDPRINTS in the Concord Christmas Parade

Since 2001, HANDPRINTS has been in the Concord Christmas Parade. As with any parade event, this is a fun time that requires a lot of preparation for the float and practice for the children and adults involved. For HANDPRINTS, this is another method of getting the word out about us and what we offer. Above all else, this gives us another means of sharing the good news of the gospel to the public.
